The Hammond
transformer line contains a few natural pairs of devices, but
most other pairings are less obvious. Based on the standardized
data, we have developed a list of suggested units that work
together. Some of these pairings tie into the projects from
TUT3 (The Ultimate Tone vol.
3), which contains both schematics and layouts for each
project. Every TUT3 amp can be built on a standard Hammond 10"
x 17" x 3" chassis. The Champ and Herzog can be built on 8"
x 12" x 3".
